Some of the key reasons are outsourcing transportation removes the risk and cost of maintaining and purchasing a fleet, keeping up with regulations and compliant, and recruiting and managing drivers. This allows companies to focus on what they do best, which is managing their core business.
Private carriage: Shippers that elect to manage their own trucks and drivers.
Common carriage: Freight that is moved by multiple third-party trucking carriers on an as-needed and transactional basis.
Dedicated contract carriage: Shippers that outsource the management and operation of their transportation needs to a third-party logistics provider (3PL). In the instance of DCC, the 3PL operates and maintains the truck fleet, hires and manages the drivers, and ensures the safe, on-time delivery per the shipper’s requirements.
Costs of moving goods have always occupied a large portion of a company’s budget but have increased even more in recent years. It’s vitally important to work with a company that can be efficient and deliver on time at the lowest possible cost. In addition, regulations and compliance make managing freight even more complex.

Maintenance contracts can range between one and seven years.
TCI can perform maintenance services on most brands of late model commercial trucks.
A maintenance program through TCI can include anything from basic PMs to heavy engine work. Most programs are tailored to the customers fleet needs and will include 90-day BIT Inspections for fleets based in California and the annual DOT inspections that will satisfy the federal requirements. Depending on the domicile location of the fleet, all state and local requirements will be included in any TCI maintenance program.
Yes, TCI offers contract maintenance services. If you own your own truck fleet but you do not have the facilities or personnel to maintain your fleet, TCI can provide you with a comprehensive preventative maintenance program that can include on-site maintenance and 24/7 breakdown support. Visit our Contract Maintenance page for more information.
TCI does not offer one-way rentals. We strictly offer rentals that are business to business, with the units returning to the location they were picked up from.
TCI has day cab and sleeper tractors, dry van straight trucks, refrigerated straight trucks, yard spotters, dry van and refrigerated semi-trailers. Give our rental department a call or drop us a line for a quote.
The services being offered are essentially the same. Our rental program is full service but rates are based on a time period of a day to up to a year. With a full-service lease, you can have a truck built to your exact specifications with a lease rate that is discounted based on the length of the term and annual miles.
There is no down payment required on a full-service lease. However, it is required that you have a well-established commercial credit history.
The cost of a full-service lease depends on several factors. The specifications of the vehicle, term of the lease, and annual miles ran. One of our representatives will cover the details to compute the final cost.
TCI offers a variety of vehicles from cargo vans to tractors and trailers to meet your needs. In addition, we offer Ottawa yard spotter tractors and electric vehicles. TCI will tailor the specifications of these vehicles to meet your application.
Typically, a full-service lease term runs between 36 and 84 months depending on the application and the annual miles that the truck operates. We can also tailor a program for short terms to meet your needs, utilizing trucks in our fleet.
Full service leasing provides cash flow benefits. It saves your working capital to be used on your company’s core competencies. Full service lease fleets reduce the administrative burdens of operating the fleet and eliminate the need for the costly overhead of a shop and the OSHA and CARB compliance expenses of maintaining that shop. For smaller fleets that do not operate their own shops it provides a predictable maintenance expense to budget with.
A full-service lease is an off-balance sheet lease that includes maintenance, unscheduled repairs, tires, 24/7 road service and support, and substitute vehicles when the truck is down for mechanical repairs. Anything associated with the maintenance of your truck is covered in a full service lease. In addition, we have services such as safety, IFTA fuel tax reporting, electronic trip reporting systems, truck washing and licensing/registration that can also be included in your Lease program.
